A new DLC to Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust is set to release on May 26, 2023, which will be a prequel to the game’s official storyline.
Square Enix has officially announced a new DLC for Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust that will serve as a prequel based on actions that took place 25 years before the game’s storyline. In Tanta We Trust, DLC will release on PlayStation 5 and PC on May 26, 2023, featuring downloadable content for the game’s story. Players who own the Forspoken Deluxe Edition will get early access to the new DLC on May 23, 2023.
In this new DLC, Frey is guided by a mysterious voice, leading her in the past during the Purge of the Rheddig. These times depict the battle that destroyed the land of Athia and directed the corrupted Tantas to chaotic madness. Besides the new storyline, this new DLC will bring a fresh set of magical powers to unlock new abilities. Furthermore, Frey will meet a new companion Tanta Cinta, to explore the unique vertically designed environment.
Square Enix put effort into releasing patch fixes and making Forspoken better, even with the flaws, after its release in January 2023. The game received many bad reviews right after its release, and it was feared to flop due to many optimization issues. Fortunately, there were crash fixes to make it playable on PS5, at least before the official patch fix. Let’s hope the new DLC maintains the hype and makes Forspoken’s PS5 exclusivity worth it.
