Spotify Splitting Up Music and Podcasts Feeds

This week Spotify will be making changes to its Home tab by introducing a Home experience that includes feeds for both Music and Podcasts & Shows.

Your existing Home feed won’t change, but you will notice two new tabs on the upper left of the page: one labeled “Music” and one titled “Podcasts & Shows.”

The Music feed will feature new releases and playlists based on users’ music tastes, while the Podcast & Shows feed will keep you up to date on the latest episodes of shows you follow, as well as suggestions based on what you’re listening to now.

This new feature will be released for Android users anytime this week although there’s no official date provided and for iOS, the feature will be there in the near future.

The podcast thing will not only benefit users but Spotify itself too as e can see it has invested heavily in becoming the biggest podcasting player on the market.

According to Mashable

the recent change in the home feed of Spotify comes shortly after the parent firm of TikTok, ByteDance, has filed for the trademark of a service called “TikTok Music.”
