Snapchat Will Allow Parents To See Who Their Kid Is Talking To

Your child will be now under full protection

For child safety, Snapchat is launching a new supervision tool known as Family Center.

The Snapchat Family Center allows parents and guardians to see who their teens message with on the app without disclosing what it is they’re saying to each other

The Family Center will only work when the parents/guardians and the child must accept the Family Center invite. Once the invites are accepted, the guardian will be able to see the entire friends list and a list of accounts they’ve interacted with over the last seven days and can report concerning accounts to Snap’s Trust and Safety Team.

Our goal was to create a set of tools designed to reflect the dynamics of real-world relationships and foster collaboration and trust between parents and teens,”

Snap will be releasing Family Center features on Android and iOS in the coming few weeks, including tools allowing parents to view the new friends their children have added along with additional content controls.
