Paper has a big role in Minecraft.

What can you do with paper on Minecraft?

Paper can be used for making Maps, Books, a Cartography Table, and even Fireworks. Or it can be sold to a librarian villagers for an emerald per 30 paper.

I’ll show you in detail with pictures of How you can make a paper in Minecraft.

Things required to make a Paper in Minecraft

In Minecraft, it is simple to make Paper.

You’ll only need two things to make a paper.

Crafting Table
3 Sugar Canes

NOTE: If you already have crafting table, move to Step 2: find Sugar canes

Step 1: Make a Crafting table

Without Crafting Table you can’t create any tools, blocks, or other items. To make a Crafting Table you need to gather some woods.

Crafting Table is helpful in making Smooth Stones

Find a tree and punch it simply by pressing the left mouse button(PC) or Press the left Bumper button(Xbox).
Open Inventory by pressing the E key(PC) or X button(Xbox).
Aside from several boxes where your items are stored in, you’ll see a set of four boxes arranged into a box formation with an arrow pointing towards a single empty box. This is your initial Crafting Grid.
Place the Woods on one of the slots by clicking on it(PC) or by scrolling it with the RB and LB buttons(Xbox).
You’ll see that on the single box, you have got 4 Wood Planks for your single wood. You’ll need 4 Wood Planks.

Place 1 Wood Plank on each of the 4 boxes in the crafting grid. You’ll see another thing appears on the single box again. That is your Crafting Table, take that.

Right-click on the Crafting Table and place it on the ground(PC) or by pressing the Left trigger button(Xbox).

Your Crafting Table is now ready to use.

Step 2: Find Sugarcanes to make a Paper in Minecraft

How to get sugar cane in Minecraft?

Find a water body near you because you can find a sugar cane near the edges of water bodies.

It is not very easy to spot them. You’ll need 3 sugarcanes.

Gather the sugarcanes the same way you gathered Wood by punching it.

3: Make a Paper (Use to make Book)

Now you have everything to make a paper.

Open Crafting Table by facing it and right-click at it(PC) or press the X button(Xbox).
Now place the 3 sugarcanes in a row. In the slot next to the grid, you can collect the paper you have made.
