These keycards open the pathway to the ship, which players have to enter to mess with the systems and ruin the enemy’s plans. Finding Chalice Keycard in Destiny 2 Lightfall
The Chalice Keycard is hidden behind the locked Chalice labeled doors in the ‘First Contact’. I found my way by hitting the door and entering a small access area that further leads to a dropdown underbelly area. I knew I was on the right path when I got swarmed by many enemies.
After defeating these enemies and heading further into the underground world, you’ll finally face the Chalice Keymaster. After taking down this enemy, you’ll receive the Chalice keycard. Now you must return upstairs, use the keycard to unlock the door, and progress your mission further.
I appreciate Bungie guiding me with the indicating markers after smashing the little door and progressing downstairs to the belly of the beast. It’s a pretty simple task now that you know it. You can always use the Ghost (our personal AI companion) to find your way out if you lose the guidance markers.
Which Ship Requires the Chalice Keycard?
The Chalice keycard is required to enter and destroy one of the final ships called the Astaroth Rex II. Other than that, we might find keycards like the War Beasts, which help unlock the War-Beast-labeled doors. Then we have the Conquest/Axes keycard, which works the same way.
