Dead by Daylight is Getting a Movie Adaption by Blumhouse and Atomic Monster

Dead by Daylight movie has been confirmed by game developers Behaviour Interactive with Blumhouse and Atomic Monster collaboration.

One of the most iconic multiplayer survival horror games, Dead by Daylight, is getting a movie adaption. As announced by the game developers, Behaviour Interactive will collaborate with Jason Blum (Blumhouse) and James Wan (Atomic Monster) to bring the accurate adaption of the game to the reel.

What Type of Movie is Dead by Daylight Going to be?

The Dead by Daylight will be a kind of movie adaption of a game that has been pushed to such an extent with the horror portrayed in cinematics and animated effects of blood and lore to create chilling scenes. The CEO of Atomic Monster praised this collaboration for the game’s adaption to the movie by mentioning that his team is already a big fan of the game, and it will be the perfect adaption for a scary cinematic. The fanbase is so strong that someone has already released a concept trailer for the movie.

In the sense of appreciation, Behaviour Interactive’s executive vice president mentioned,

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to work with Jason Blum and James Wan, two giants of the horror film industry, to further expand the Dead by Daylight universe.”

Blum also mentioned that Atomic Monster and Blumhouse are the ideal partners for a project like this as the CEO of Atomic Monster has frequently directed various horror movies himself, which makes the Dead by Daylight movie the perfect project for the studio.

Is There a Casting or Plot for Dead by Daylight Movie?

Currently, there is no info available on casting or plot details. However, as mentioned on the Dead by Daylight website, the studio will update more on the development process as they are still searching for a director and screenwriter.

Dead by Daylight Production Team

Jason Blum from Blumhouse, James Wan from Atomic Monster, and Stephen Mulrooney, executive vice president of Behaviour Interactive, will be the movie producers. The Executive Producers team includes Rémi Racine from Behaviour Interactive, Michael Clear and Judson Scott from Atomic Monster, Ryan Turek from Blumhouse, and Russell Binder from Strike Entertainment.

The movie adaption of a video game has become more popular over the years as the gaming industry prevails over the fanbase. Just like the Naughty Dog brought The Last of Us from game to TV show, I believe Dead by Daylight will also earn an extensive fanbase for the game.
