I know, That’s sad!

Sony recently announced that Variable Refresh Rate [VRR] is coming to PlayStation 5 consoles later this year.

How only some PS5 users can Enjoy this Feature?

As you all know, VRR is a feature only compatible with TVs having HDMI 2.1 support.

So if your Tv supports HDMI 2.1, you can enjoy this feature without any hassle.

This Feature will make your games run smoother.

How?

By Syncing the refresh rate of the TV directly with the PS5 console.

Sony Says:

We’re also pleased to share that Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) is planned to release on PS5 in the coming months. On HDMI 2.1-compatible TVs and PC monitors, VRR dynamically syncs the refresh rate of the display to the PS5 console’s graphical output. This enhances visual performance for PS5 games by minimizing or eliminating visual artifacts, such as frame pacing issues and screen tearing.

But one thing Sony has not confirmed is whether or not there will be any direct boosts to these PS5 games.

Sony said that VRR can also be used on games that don’t support the feature, and players can turn it on or off as they please once the feature is implemented.

Sony will share more details about this feature when the release is decided.

So, we just have to wait now!
