The Devil May Cry series is widely considered one of the best in action gaming. Devil May Cry 5, the latest installment in Capcom’s hack-and-slash series, has sold 5 Million copies worldwide. Devil May Cry 5 comes from developer Capcom and launched in March 2019 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

According to games industry insider Benji-Sales, Devil May Cry 5 is the most successful title in the series. Sales of 4.8 Million copies are attributed to Devil May Cry 4 and 3.8 Million copies are attributed to DmC: Devil May Cry. The original trilogy trails behind the reboot, which sold 2.3 Million copies of Devil May Cry 3, 2.1 Million copies of Devil May Cry, and 1.7 Million copies of Devil May Cry 2. The low sales of the HD collection are attributed to its poor quality and lack of polish, as well as its controversially altered combat system.
