  1. Go to the Oculus Casting website on Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge on your desktop. I suggest you not use any other browsers because they don’t support Oculus casting.
  2. You will be redirected to the casting page once you have signed in.oculus
  3. Put on the Oculus headset and press the Oculus button on the controller
  4. You will see 4 options on top of the VR screen. Click on the one that says Cast.
  5. Then select the “Discord” option from the list of available devices.
  6. A pop-up window will appear on your computer, asking you to authorize the connection between Oculus and Discord. Click “Authorize.”
  7. In Discord, go to the server or channel where you want to stream Quest 2.
  8. Click on the “Video Camera” icon in the bottom left corner of the Discord window to start streaming.
  9. You should now see your Oculus Quest 2 display in the Discord window. You can use the Discord voice chat to communicate with other users while streaming.

Casting Oculus Quest 2 to Discord using Virtual Desktop

  1. Install the Virtual Desktop App on your Oculus Quest 2 and desktop.
  2. Launch the desktop app and input your Oculus user name.
  3. Now, open the Virtual Desktop in Quest 2. You should now see your Desktop screen if you are connected correctly.
  4. To open the Desktop window, press the menu button.
  5. Make sure that the Microphone Passthrough option is enabled in the Settings menu. It is recommended that you disable Noise cancellation.
  6. Select the VR Graphics Quality section based on the power of your graphics card. You can change the quality to medium, high, or low.
  7. Set VR Bitrate to default
