Resident Evil 4 Remake: Low System Requirements, High Thrills!

Hey there, survival horror fans! Are you ready to experience some spine-tingling horror with Resident Evil 4 Remake? The game promises to blow our minds with its modern take on the classic Capcom horror experience. And the best part? You don’t need to break the bank to run it!

The PC system requirements for RE4 Remake are out, and they’re pretty much the same as Resident Evil Villages. So, if you were able to run Village smoothly, you should be good to go for RE4. Capcom’s RE Engine is a beast, and it looks stunning even on affordable gaming rigs.

The game is launching on March 24th, and if you’ve got an AMD Radeon RX 560 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 paired with a recent processor, you should be able to hit 60 fps at 1080p on its “prioritize performance” graphics setting. And if you want to crank it up to 60 fps, you’ll need a slightly beefier rig with an AMD Radeon RX 5700 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 and a more recent CPU.

Assuming everything goes well at launch, you’ll be good to go as long as you’ve got at least 8GB of RAM (16 GB for recommended specs) and Windows 10 or 11. And hey, if you’ve got a Steam Deck, you can still enjoy the game even if you need to turn down some graphics settings and aim for 30 to 45 fps.

So, get ready to dive into the world of Resident Evil once again and experience the fear and excitement that made the franchise a household name!

If you’re dreaming of a ray-traced trip to a rural Spanish town, you’ll need a pretty decent rig to get there from the get-go. According to Capcom, you’ll need an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 to get those gorgeous ray-traced visuals. But hey, don’t worry, these requirements aren’t exactly steep by today’s standards, so you won’t need to sell your soul to run the game smoothly. Get ready to immerse yourself in a beautifully crafted world and experience the chilling horror of the Resident Evil 4 Remake!

Here are the minimum and recommended system requirements:

Minimum (60 fps, 1080p, “Prioritize Performance”)

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 1200 or Intel Core i5-7500
  • RAM: 8 GB RAM
  • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 560 with 4GB VRAM or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 for ray tracing)

Recommended (60 fps, 1080p)

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or Intel Core i7 8700
  • RAM: 16 GB RAM
  • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5700 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 for ray tracing)

There are a few things we don’t know about Resident Evil 4 Remake yet, but we can make some educated guesses. The Steam page doesn’t tell us how much storage space we’ll need, but I’d expect it to be around 40 to 50 GBs, similar to the previous Resident Evil remakes.

Capcom has been keeping much of the game under wraps, but they’ve hinted at some exciting changes. For example, Leon will now be able to crouch for stealth, Ashley will have better AI, and there will be new enemy types and sidequests. Plus, the dreaded island section of the game will be making a return, but I suspect it’ll be less action-packed this time around.

All in all, Resident Evil 4 Remake is shaping up to be an incredible experience that fans of the franchise won’t want to miss. Get ready to dive back into the world of survival horror and face your fears once again!
