Choosing a gaming mouse is never easy when there are so many options, and it gets messed up, to be honest when it comes to choosing the mouse with the best features and is also rightly priced.

Here, I will be evaluating the top mice that are gamers’ favorite and will try to make the review as neutral as possible.

If you are looking for quick options, I have made it easy for you to choose if you are looking for performance only or performance with a budget in mind. Some of these products have gotten old, and they might be on sale

3 Quick Picks For You!

Before we dive into the numbers and decide what’s best, we need to know the main differentiating factors. I will note a couple of factors that you must not miss before making your decision:

  • Are you Right Handed or Left Handed?
  • How many keys can you handle while gaming?
  • How light is the mouse?
  • Does it support wireless charging?
  • Micro-USB or type C?
  • How long does the battery last?
  • Is RGB the main factor?
  • What OS do you use?
  • What is the Sensor strength?

If you know the answers to these, and you know how much you can compromise on with your budget, you can easily find your next gaming mouse.

Let’s start with the best performer that is an all-rounder and comes with a design that’s many gamers’ favorite.

Let’s know more about it!

1. Logitech G502 Lightspeed

It is really tough to call G502 the best mouse for gaming.

There are a number of reasons for it as it does well in the majority of the places but Razor gave us their Basilik that’s reviewed next with exactly the same condition and better build quality. The only reason they are not being called the best in this list is that they copied Logitech’s already very loved design.

Apart from that, Logitech’s G502 is an exceptional mouse especially now with the price it gets on these days with heavy discounts, one would make a decision easily.

Apart from that, Logitech’s software is great and works on macOS, it has 11 programmable keys that’s A LOT!

Additionally, you get an exceptional battery life and if you get their mouse pad which is more than what the mouse costs these days, you won’t need to worry about the charge.

It’s a seamless transition from a wired mouse as you can see in the video above, the latency is amazingly low, and yet the weight is slightly less than its wired version.

Hats off to Logitech for pulling that off with a battery!

You can adjust the weight as well which is yet another great feature.

Additionally, the mouse is for right-handed people which is the biggest downside, and overall it’s a great go-to mouse for any type of game out there.

Cons

  • Buggy Software
  • Not Ambidextrous

2. Razer Basilisk Ultimate

Razor did copy the Logitech’s 502, but they made sure they do better in many of the departments Logitech lacked.

First of all, with even lesser weight, Razor’s Basilisk manages to give almost 2 times the battery life Logitech offers. The center wheel is also made to be variably sensitive with an additional wheel at the bottom; whereas, in Logitech, it is either an infinite wheel or a resistive one.

Razor doesn’t have the fancy infinite wheel, neither you get the indicator of your DPI on your mouse. It does support changing it and is 20% less sensitive than Logitech G502.

The design is pretty similar, and it has a nice little dock to charge that is also RGB enabled. It doesn’t support wireless charging but it has got a larger battery that can last a long time.

One of the reasons why it is not put as #1 is due to its limited OS support and a copied design.

3. Razer DeathAdder v2 Pro

DeathAdder series is one of the most loved mice among gamers. The shape of the mouse is opinion-based as it doesn’t feel as modern as Logitech’s G502.

Apart from that, you get an amazingly low-weight mouse with 8 programmable buttons, excellent sensitivity, and excellent battery life.

It does support Razer Chroma RGB and the optical sensor that Razor offers make sure that double clicks are not an issue for you.

It doesn’t support the wheel tilt click that many gamers love and is not ambidextrous which means only right-handed gamers can play with it.

4. Logitech G305 Lightspeed

So, this is not a brand new mouse but with a budget in mind and still getting enough performance, Logitech’s 305 lightspeed is a great option.

The mouse comes just under 100g and is good enough but it would be unfair with the newer mice coming out that are bigger in size and are low weight.

The Hero Sensor delivers half the performance of the G502, but it still is great enough to experience good gaming. It’s so energy efficient that it can last up to 250 hours that’s crazy and if you turn on the endurance mode, forget to recharge for 9 months.

5. Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT

If you are looking into a low-weight mouse that feels solid and is not honeycombed either, with an amazing sensor and overall feel, then this is your next mouse.

Logitech’s mouse is extremely low-weight with the design it comes with and that makes your gaming experience even better. Logitech G exclusive HERO 25K sensor provides unrivaled precision, speed, and consistency.

The PTFE feet are loved as they deliver a very smooth glide.

You get a lower number of additional buttons and it’s one of the priciest mice.

6. Corsair HARPOON RGB Wireless

Have a tight budget, and still want a mouse that has some RGB, an okay battery life, and a good sensor with multiple buttons and a good brand name, then this one is your next buy.

Corsair gives a good, solid-looking mouse that fits great in hands except for large ones.

It features a DPI button that lets you switch between DPI and gives you different colors and a customizable dynamic RGB logo that looks great but you might need to turn it off to save some battery.

Overall, the performance and the sensitivity are great and you can enjoy gaming.

7. Corsair Dark Core RGB Pro SE

Another great alternative with fewer compromises is Corsair’s new Dark Core.

You get 2 times the response time than the average gaming mouse, adjustable DPIs, different connection modes, adjustable lighting, 8 programmable keys, and a great design.

You have to compromise on the extra weight, a slightly less efficient battery and if you are left-handed, then you might need to consider more options.

Apart from that, with such features, the mouse is priced great and the Qi-wireless charging version would cost you more, else you have got type C supported version.

Final Verdict

So, it all comes down to your taste and where you want to compromise and choose your next gaming mouse.

If you are looking to compromise on weight and battery, then Corsair’s Dark Core RGB Pro SE might be a great option.

But, if you are picky about your mouse weight, then it is not even under the consideration, and Logitech’s G Pro is a great buy.
