Hellblade 2 reveals spectacular facial animations in the new trailer after a long wait of nine months, and the graphics look way too real.
Ninja Theory has finally spilled the beans on Hellblade 2 after a long silence of 9 months. The new trailer of Hellblade 2 reveals the gloriously detailed facial animations of Senua, the game’s protagonist. Although we were hoping for more than just the facial expression, here is how it looks. Ninja Theory revealed in the Tweet that they are “pushing the boundaries of real-time facial animation in Senua’s Saga for Hellblade 2.”
Hellblade 2 was first announced in 2019 at The Game Awards, about a year after Microsoft acquired various Ninja Theory and various other gaming studios. The first glimpse of the game was given from the gameplay trailer revealed back in 2021, showing Senua leading into a fight with a giant and her fellow human force.
This gameplay trailer reveals the relatively improved visual upgrades on the Xbox Series X, which looks arguably better than the showcase trailer. Even though the gameplay trailer didn’t reveal much action, the series of actions like spear-throwing and sprinting looks fluid. Here is the showcase trailer that officially announced the game back in 2019.
The designers and developers have worked on the elements lacking in the prequel Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. The new Hellblade 2 will be relatively improved with the better balancing of difficulty modes and extended long-range combat, and it will also fulfill the lack of enemy varieties. So, if you haven’t played Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, now is your chance since it is available on Game Pass. The prequel is an incredible masterpiece of action-adventure games.
The Hellblade 2: Senua’s Saga will be coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Windows PC. The game publishers have not stated an official release date yet since there is no update on its current status. However, it can be expected to release anytime near the end of 2023.
