Recently users have reported that upon opening their Task Manager they saw that Svchost.exe is using a lot of high CPU/RAM almost above 90%. 

What Is Svchost.exe?

Svchost.exe (Service Host) plays a major part in Windows OS. It's responsible for loading other critical services for Windows.  

Run Windows Update Troubleshooter

Solution 1

1. Click on the Search icon 2. Select Settings > System. 3. Now look for Troubleshoot and click on it

4. Next, select the Other troubleshooter option. 5. Now under the other heading select Windows Update and click on the Run button.   6. Now follow the on-screen instruction until the troubleshoot finishes.

Scan For Virus and Threats 

Solution 2

1. Click on the Search icon 2. Select Settings. 3. Now click on Privacy & security > Windows Security

4. Select Virus & threat protection and click on Quick scan. 5. Wait for the scan to finish and then restart your PC to see svchost.exe in Windows 11 is fixed.
