The company announced on August 9th through its Twitter account that Rethinking your message? Now, you’ll have a little over 2 days to delete your messages from your chats after you hit send.

The previous time duration was around 1 hour, 8 minutes, and 16 seconds to be precise. A little earlier in July, WhatsApp Beta was testing its delete feature of 2.5 days and at one point they were speculating and exploring a delete time limit of 7 days
