Ex-Twitter employee caught Spying 

According to Bloomberg Ex-Twitter employee, Ahmad Abouammo was found guilty of spying for the government of Saudi Arabia.

It all started when Ahmad Abouammo worked at Twitter as a media partnerships manager and helped famous figures in the Middle East and North Africa promote their accounts

However, he used his position to access the email addresses, phone numbers, and birth dates of users who were important to the Saudi government 

Ahmad Abouammo then shared information with Saudi officials between November 2014 and May 2015 and received a Hublot watch and $300,000 in wire transfers and much more.

According to the US, the bribes were from Mohammed bin Salman, who now serves as Saudi Arabia’s crown prince. Abouammo blamed Twitter for not securing user data and said that he was just doing his Job

According to the jury in a San Francisco federal court on Tuesday, Abouammo was convicted of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, money laundering, falsifying records, and 10 to 20 years of imprisonment.
